Trina Volsang, Owner & NWHA Trainer

Trina is proud to be the owner and trainer of three time National High Point Style Racking Champion "American Warrior". She also trained the 2009 Trail Racking National Champion "Alen's Jose Cuervo", and many other renowned show ring champions "Alen's Stray Bullet", "Extra Handsome","Avenger's Delight", and "Patches, Armed and Dangerous",(owned by Ken Kroghan) just to name a few.


Trina holds Championships in Englishand Western Trail, 3-Gait, Style and Speed Racking, among others. Tennessee Walking Horses, Spotted Saddle Horses and racking horses are her specialty, but she also has Mountain Horses, Paso Finos and Peruvian Passos.


Trina is a strong supporter of the sound Tennessee Walking Horse, and believes all deserve to achieve their potential in a gentle, natural manner without the use of harmful or painful methods.  She uses only sound, natural training techniques with the hoarse to achieve the smooth ride for which gaited horses are known.  She also brings a thorough knowledge of bits and bitting, as well as saddle fit to ensure the horse is comfortable, flexible, and engaged while working. 


Liz Adams, Barn Manager & Head Trainer

Liz joined Gaitaway in 2011, as a working student.  She came here from a small veterinary hospital in upstate New York with a solid background in English and Western trail riding, and Natural Horsemanship.  Liz started teaching horseback riding at the age of 17, and quickly discovered a love of sharing her passions with others.  Since joining Gaitaway, she has had success showing our Tennessee Walking Horses. 

 



Steve.0, Steve.4  } The Steves are both boarders and are also residents of the farm, they comprise the maintenance crew, and are in charge of most of the exterior d├ęcor. Self-assigned duties include amusing themselves and others with various "shenanigans".
